Description
This is a notice of intent that 638 SCMG/PKAC anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Non-Commercial One-Time Spare Buy. This is a Firm-Fixed Price Type Acquisition for the Purchase of Four (4) Each of the BAK-14M (Aircraft Arresting System). The National Stock Number (NSN) is: 1710-01-592-3289RN. The Part Number (P/N) is: 9D02597-101. This acquisition is Sole Source to Engineered Arresting Systems Corporation (ESCO) (Cage Code: 21439). Delivery will be 180 Days After Receipt Order. The Response Date for issuing the Solicitation will be approximately 27 July 2012 with a Proposal Due Date of 27 August 2012. The RFP will be issued using electronic procedures which will be posted at the following website: ww.fedbizopps.gov. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED and no hard copies will be mailed out. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation shall be considered. OMBUDSMAN: All potential offeror(s) should contact the Buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the Contracting Officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. When appropriate, potential offerors may contact Ombudsman Ms. Kim McDonald at 478-222-1088.
