Description
THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Blood Disorders, contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price Sole Source Purchase Order to Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, PA) Performance shall be at the Contractor's facility. The Period of Performance shall be for 6 months after award. The North American Industrial Classification code applicable is 611310 and Standard Business Size of 7M The objective of this procurement is to secure the services of Thomas Jefferson University to develop a brief, a practical guide to venous thromboembolism (VTE) clinical risk-stratification and prophylaxis recommendations for adult, non-obstetric, non-orthopedic/medical/surgical patients. The guide would explain differences among major guidelines that would further improve VTE prevention. No current documents of this type exist. The product will provide information to end users that will allow readily comparing existing risk assessments and clinical guidelines and allowing the development of their own prevention protocols. The sole source award will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) (1) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. CDC is not requesting competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the services required are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, by July 23, 2012. Determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will assume all financial costs for preparing a response to this notice. The U.S. Government assumes no financial obligation for the preparation and distribution of prepared responses.
