- Description
- Tug Characteristics The US Department of Transportation/Maritime Administration intends to solicit for a commercially off the shelf (COTS), used (less than 15 years), or donation of a tug for the purpose of midshipmen's training operations in support of the Towing Officer Assessment Record (TOAR) certification at USMMA located in Kings Point, NY. The tug will be used in conjunction with a currently held MARAD asset (ex-US Navy FB-216 SWOB Barge). The barge particulars are as follows: LENGTH OVERALL: 108 FEET; BREADTH: 28 FEET; DRAFT: LIGHT 8 FEET; STEEL HULL. Tug Characteristics are attached.
