- Install Fire Protection System in Henry Hill Visitor Center: The work for this contract is located at Manassas National Battlefield Henry Hill Visitor Center, 12521 Lee Highway, Manassas, Virginia 20109-2005. The work of this contract includes, but is not limited to the following work: Removing conventional (zoned) fire alarm system (panel and appliances), installation of new fire alarm system, providing complete automatic sprinkler protection, expanding dry pipe sprinkler systems. Installing Dry pendent sprinklers. Modifying and expanding the existing sprinkler valve manifolds and providing wet pipe valve assembly to serve sprinklers. Providing double interlocked preaction sprinkler systems. Providing new power circuits for fire alarm control panels, notification appliance booster panels and new air compressors. The estimated magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. Type of award will be a firm-fixed price construction. The Davis-Bacon Act wage determinations will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.502-2, Total small business set-asides, this procurement is 100-percent set-aside for small business concerns. The Small business size standard is $14 million. A small business concern is defined as a concern (including all of its subsidiaries) having less than or equal to $14 million annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. The solicitation along with attachments will be issued electronically and downloadable at http://ideasec.nbc.gov or http://www.fbo.gov on or about July 5, 2012. No hard copies will be issued. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction). To receive a government award, prospective offerors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and should complete Online Representations and Certification Application (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation. Actual date will be established at the time solicitation documents are available. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
