- This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to replace the HVAC at Building 585, Naval Air Station, Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of a firm fixed price construction contract. All contractors proposing on Department of Defense solicitations must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of the contract. The requirements will be procured utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220. The estimated price range is ‚¬18,727.50 - ‚¬74,910.00. The anticipated requirement includes, but is not limited to, all labor, material, and equipment for the removal of the existing AHU located in the mechanical room of Bldg 558 its associated electrical panel, the ducts and air diffuser and installation of new energy saving HVAC system composed by: Fan coil inverter heat pump system type 15KW with new duct and new Air diffuser to be located at Back Office above the suspended false ceiling. Fan coil inverter heat pump system type 10KW with new duct and new Air diffuser to be located at Lobby area reception above the suspended wood false ceiling. Fan coil inverter heat pump systems type 2,5KW to be located at Manager & Director rooms above the suspended false ceiling, and the replacement of the existing main electrical panel with new floor mounted panel, with temporary energy supply during the replacement phase at Bldg 558, NAS II Sigonella. The existing suspended false ceiling and the tile false ceiling and the wood false suspended ceiling shall be restored as per original conditions. At the end of the work the ceilings and the walls shall be painted as per same current color. All work shall be performed in accordance with the most current version of the Army Corps of Engineers Safety Manual, EM-385-1-1, and in accordance with all applicable Italian safety laws and norms. The anticipated period of performance is 90 calendar days. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation via the European Navy Electronic Commerce Online (EURONECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at this website. However, registration does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other notices. The solicitation is expected to be posted on 28 June 2012. Quotes are expected to be due on 13 July 2012 at 10:00 AM Central European Time (CET). All dates are tentative and are subject to change. This is an internet only solicitation so paper copies will not be provided. A pre bid conference and site visit will be indicated on the solicitation documents.
