- The solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) under Public Law 109-461, 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128 that are capable of performing the requirements under the categories described in the solicitation when posted. Interested parties shall be required to be registered and certified in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. A subsequent award of a Firm Fixed-Priced construction contract to complete Various Construction Projects (Asphalt, Concrete, Water Valves, Fencing, Painting Handrails/Fencing & Ramada), at Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) -Tucson, Arizona pending availability of funding. Contractor shall provide all necessary transportation, supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment to remove and replace 10 each domestic water valves located in the main campus water distribution system; excavate and prepare areas to place and compact an asphalt surface and curbing; add additional asphalt to parking areas with curbing at the South end of Building 44; accomplish several small concrete projects; install fencing at various locations; purchase and install a 20 ™L x 20 ™W x 10 ™H Wood Ramada; prepare surfaces and paint existing handrails and smoking shelter structures throughout the campus. Construction shall be completed as indicated in the solicitation Statement of Work and Specifications. All work shall be completed concurrently to avoid unnecessary interruption with operations at SAVAHCS. Construction shall be completed within 180-Calendar Days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS Code) is 238990, Size Standard $14 million. Project Magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about June 29, 2012 via Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to review the FBO website frequently for updates and/or amendments to any and all documents for this solicitation. Any prospective SDVOSB contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov/ and current Representations and Certifications (Reps and Certs) in Online Representations and Certifications Application at https://orca.bpn.gov/ in order to be eligible for award. The closing date and time for submission of proposals will be contained in the solicitation. No paper copies will be issued. No telephone, facsimile, or written request will be accepted.
