- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; SF330S ARE NOT REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. The Coatesville VA Medical Center is seeking qualified SDVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business and HubZone contractors to perform design services for the repair of structural tunnel joints at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. The contract will be procured in accordance with the Brooks A/E Act. The A/E shall review the program materials furnished by the VA and all prior submissions to ascertain the requirements of the phases of the work and shall prepare Design Development Documents of the highest professional quality within the firm's capability illustrating the scale and relationship of project components for review and approval by VA. The consultant shall provide all architectural and engineering services as defined to accomplish complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates for the following work: The design of this project involves eliminating water infiltration into the underground tunnel system in specific areas; addressing structural issues in these tunnel areas; and addressing any water infiltration issues on the exterior of these areas with a water diversion system and any necessary concrete work and landscaping. This project will also address any damage that has been caused by the water infiltration to this point. A/E services to include: site investigation and design development; working drawings & specifications; cost estimates; construction period services; site visits; and IH services. The work shall meet all applicable VA design criteria and construction standards. A/E is required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and professional A/E services necessary to complete the entire project and submission requirements. The Government is requesting Qualified A/E firms who have had a similar project within the last 5 years to provide information with a minimum of two (2) relevant project examples. (Note: SF 330 is not required at this time) The A/E should be able to showcase their capacity to design the repair of structural tunnel joints. The Government will review all provided information and will make a determination on how to release the Sources Sought Notice for the SF 330. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541330 is being used for this sources sought notice. The responses may be emailed to toni.barber@va.gov or mailed to Toni Barber (90C), Coatesville VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320. All responses must be received by the Close of Business on Thursday, June 21, 2012. This sources sought notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation.
