- List of possible smartphone applications for use by Air Force Reserve Recruiting Service and AFR members Questions for Industry to respond THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY; THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. 1. The purpose of this Request for Information/Sources Sought Synopsis (RFI/SSS) is to assist Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), Robins Air Force Base, Georgia in determining the full extent of the requirement, potential level of interest and technical capabilities within the commercial sector, and adequacy of competition especially the small business community, to provide support to the Air Force Reserve Recruiting Service (AFRRS). The AFRRS is interested in establishing a SMARTPHONE APPLICATION for use by Air Force Reserve Command's Development and Training Flights. 2. This RFI/SSS is for a new requirement; AFRSS is interested in industry technical capabilities, common industry standards, latest technological advances, timelines for adaptation and/or integration, and any other common commercial terms and conditions related to mobile applications. The Government will consider your inputs in the final set of requirements for a formal solicitation. If sources elect to submit competition-sensitive or proprietary information, the firm bears sole responsibility for proper marking to ensure appropriate Government safeguards and handling. 3. This RFI/SSS is solely intended to obtain market information in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market Research and its supplements, to assist the Government in formulating the firm requirement and an acquisition strategy for procurement. The NAICS for this procurement is 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services with a sized standard of $25.5M. 4. The AFRRS vision is to obtain a smartphone application that allows all participating Reserve members the opportunity to engage in training and gaming activities with other members across AFRC. The AFRSS has several desirable options for the application(s) as set forth on Attachment 1 to this notice. 5. Respondents are requested to review Attachment 1 and 2 to provide narrative responses to the questions in Attachment 2. The Government encourages submission of any additional comments. We welcome your participation to make this acquisition effective and efficient. 6. This SSS does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), a commitment to issue an RFP in the future, or award a contract for these services. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay or reimburse costs for any information provided in response to this SSS. 7. Responses to this RFI/SSS and survey at Attachment 2 are to be submitted by email only no later than Tuesday, 26 June 2012 to diane.sharpe@us.af.mil. All responses from should include the return email address, firm name, CAGE code, DUNS number, mailing address, telephone number and point of contact within the body of the response.
