- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking small business sources for a construction project entitled: Mill Creek Public Restroom Site Preparation. The work is located at Mill Creek Dam, Walla Walla County. This will be a firm-fixed price construction contract. Construction magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000, and 100% performance and payment bonds will be required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 237110 and the associated small business size standard is $33,500,000. This is sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify businesses with the capability to accomplish the work. This is not a solicitation. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. 1) A list of current or past projects demonstrating technical experience with work of a similar nature to that listed in the Summary Scope of Work. For each project submitted, provide a brief narrative statement of the work your firm accomplished, your firm's role in the project (prime or sub), the dollar value and the completion date (or projected completion date). 2) A reference list for each of the projects submitted in #1 above. Include the name, title, phone number and email address. 3) Provide a statement of your firm's bonding capacity. A letter from your surety is not required. 4) Provide a statement of your firm's business size and type (HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), or woman-owned). 5) Provide a statement that your firm intends to submit an offer when the project is formally advertised. 6) Provide your firm's CAGE code and DUNS number. Submit this information to Elaine Vandiver, Contract Specialist, via email to Elaine.M.Vandiver@usace.army.mil. Your response to this notice must be received before 2:00PM on June 25, 2012. Summary Scope of Work This construction project involves the site preparation that is required for the installation of two new pre-fabricated restroom facilities. This project does not include providing or installing the two new pre-fabricated restrooms; this is for site preparation only. Currently, there are two restroom facilities at Mill Creek Dam. One is located at the Existing Mill Creek Project Office (EMCPO) and one is located near Bennington Lake; both in Walla Walla, Washington. EMCPO restroom- The Contractor shall: 1. Provide and install a new 1,250 gallon septic tank and a sewage pump tank; 2. Provide and install new stub-outs piping for water, sewer and electrical connections; 3. Provide and install a fiber optic line between the New Mill Creek Office building and the existing Mill Creek Maintenance Building; 4. Trench for electrical conduit placement from an existing electrical pull box to the restroom site and to the new contractor provided/installed sewage pump tank; 5. Trench for electrical conduit placement from an existing electrical pull box to the existing Mill Creek Maintenance Building. This will include cutting across the asphalt road way, removing the asphalt and repairing to match the existing roadway conditions; 6. Pull fiber optic line from the New Mill Creek Office building to the Mill Creek Maintenance Building; 7. Cut asphalt and remove existing asphalt at the restroom location and perform ground site preparations; 8. Connect the two electrical circuits from a meter to the restroom site and the sewage pump tank Bennington Lake (BL) restroom: The Contractor shall-- 1. Perform ground site preparation; 2. Provide and install new stub-outs piping for water, sewer and electrical connections; 3. Re-establish electrical connections from the restrooms site to the existing water pump, the existing well water level instrumentation, and the existing sprinkler system; 4. Place an 8 foot by 17 foot concrete pad in front of the restroom; 5. Remediate an existing 150-gallon septic vault by filling in the vault with concrete; 6. Place an additional 16 foot by 20 foot concrete pad on a portion of the existing gravel parking lot
