- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project includes the repaving 13,270 SF of FSR 677, Woody Gap trailhead, and 4,350 SF of FSR 679, Chestatee Overlook. The work includes repairs to the subgrade. Woody Gap trailhead is on each side of the Highway 60. The parking area that is being reworked will be closed during repaving, the other will remain open. Work also includes striping of the accessible parking spot at the restroom in the southeast parking area of Woody Gap. Contract time is 45 calendar days. PROJECT LOCATION: FSR 679, Chestatee Overlook is, located in Lumpkin County Georgia and FSR 677, Woody Gap Trail Head Parking Area is located in Union County Georgia. Woody Gap is located on Highway 60 approximately 1.5 miles north and west of Chestatee Overlook. Both are under the jurisdiction of the USDA Forest Service, Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest and located northwest of Dahlonega Georgia. ESTIMATE COST RANGE: between $30,000 and $150,000. OTHER INFORMATION: A pre-bid conference and site showing is scheduled tentatively for June 6, 2012. Details will be in the solicitation.
