- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation IFBP04181200001 for the servicing of three (3) water softening units at the Federal Correctional Complex located at Terre Haute, Indiana. The service will include the removal and disposal of resin, cleaning, sandblasting, refinishing, disinfecting, replacing gaskets/valves etc., and testing of the systems. A more comprehensive description of the services required will be outlined in the Statement of Work included in the solicitation. The water softening units will be taken of- line individually, one at a time for servicing in order to maintain treated water for the facility during the service process. The contract performance period for the requirement will be from the Effective Date of Award through 120 calendar days. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be made available on or about May 14, 2012 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 238220, with a size standard of $14.0 Million. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The due-date and time for receipt of bids is anticipated to be June 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard (local) time; however, this is a projected estimate and bidders should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation for the actual date/time that bids are due. The solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. All responsible sources may submit a bid for consideration. The anticipated date of award will be approximately July 2, 2012.
