- Description
- Pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, FHCC, North Chicago, Illinois is hereby issued. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about Jun 25, 2012 for a Firm Fixed Priced, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) contract for small construction projects for a base period of one year. VA will issue individual task orders against this contract and contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, materials, labor and qualified supervision to complete the projects. Work will include but not be limited to mechanical, electrical and plumbing work. Minimal interior renovations, carpentry; asphalt and concrete paving; roofing; excavation; carpet, window, door installation; painting; and stucco; demolition; masonry and fire protection construction work may be performed. Individual construction projects will be between $2,000 and $500,000 and the maximum contract price shall not exceed $4,999,000.00 and the guaranteed minimum contract value is $2,000.00. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), this procurement is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms (SDVOSB). All prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award to be considered for award. The solicitation will be posted on www.fbo.gov, on/about May 24, 2012 and bid opening will be on or about Jun 25, 2012. Bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with the class deviation to 804.1102 Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Database effective October 1, 2010, all SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) to be eligible for contract award. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220; size standard $14.0 million applies.
