- SOW ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials required to perform a survey and report for approximately 15 miles of potable water mains. The contractor will perform a survey of the entire water system to detect, pinpoint, and quantify leaks using acoustic or similar leak detection technologies able to detect and quantify leaks using non destructive methods. Contractor must be IAW SOW. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: Upon request the government shall provide access to hard copies of base water system. Copies for field or reporting use will be provided as requested. Electronic AutoCAD, pdf, or tiff media will also be provided for use as available and may be used as needed for the final report. Performance Period is 14-30 days. Work to be performed June-July 31, 2012. SUBMITTALS DUP PRIOR TO AWARD: The contractor must provide the following with their proposal; qualification of at least 3 years experience in water line leak detection, work plan with equipment and methods to be used to identify and pinpoint leaks, latest calibration dates on all calibrated equipment and sample report. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD: NONE CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY May 17, 2012. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD May 29, 2012, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.) Location: U.S. Coast Guard Base, Kodiak, Alaska. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE IS LESS THAN $25,000.
