Description
Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Western Regional Contracting Office(WRCO), Tacoma, WA, intends to issue a sole source award to Michael S. Gordon, Inc DBA UMEDIC in the amount of $83,000.00 to purchase the Harvey, Cardiopulmonary Patient Simulator located at Madigan Healthcare Systems, Tacoma, WA. The Harvey, Cardiopulmonary Patient will be used for the Andersen Simulation Center (ASC). This purchase will teach bedside skills that transfer to real patients by using a cardiopulmonary patient simulator that realistically trains medical students, residents, fellows, primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurses and para-professionals to recognize the signs of cardiac diseases and findings for blood pressure, venous, arterial and precordial impulses, auscultation in multiple areas and respiration. The Andersen Simulation Center (ASC) is the Headquarters for the Central Simulation Committee that has the mission of standardizing simulation equipment and curriculum for 12 Specialties at 10 MTFs that provide residency training across the AMEDD. This notice is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability; and specifications within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Purchasing Agent; Ms. Angela. Dexter, angela.dexter@us.army.mil. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
