- Description
- South River 10A, Mills Creek Dam Rehabilitation Project, Augusta County, Virginia. The major items of work consist of 1) removing portions of the existing concrete riser, slip lining the upstream 120 feet of the principal spillway pipe and placing a new concrete riser at the location of the existing drain valve; 2) expanding and reconstructing the vegetated auxiliary spillway and armoring the constructed outlet section with articulated concrete block (ACB); 3) removing the existing distribution box located at the outlet of the principal spillway and replacing it with a rip rap plunge pool. Items include Clearing and Grubbing, Structure Removal, Abandon Riser, Pollution Control, Seeding and Mulching (3 acres), Construction Survey, Mobilization and Demobilization, Removal of Water, Excavation (6049 CY), Earthfill Class A (2421 CY), Earthfill Class C (2080 CY), Topsoiling (15000 SY), Concrete Riser (52 CY), Concrete Wall (27 CY), Concrete Bent (3 CY), Concrete ACB Cut-off Wall (22 CY), Steel Reinforcement Riser (10826 LB), Steel Reinforcement ASW Wall (3455 LB), Steel Reinforcement PS Pipe Bent (180 LB), 24" Reinforced Concrete Pipe (16 LF), Rock Toe Drain, iFLOWS Conduit, Riprap (745 TON), Water Control Gate, Project Monument, Contractor Quality Control, Field Office, Articulated Concrete Block (23000 SF), PS Pipe Lining (136 LF), Access Road Construction, and Access Road Permanent. The work is to be completed within 361 calendar days. Estimated price range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Interested parties may access and download the solicitation files on or about May 17, 2012.
