- Questions regarding solicitation W911SF-12-T-0020: KUDZU Q1 - Is a map available displaying the distribution across the reservation of the infested areas? A1 - No, there are multiple areas located Installation wide. Q2 - Will the contractor or the government be supplying the herbicide used? A2 - Section C.1.1 of the performance work statement states: The contractor will provide all supplies which includes herbicides. Q3 - Page 41 Section C.5.1.1 of the performance work statement indicates that broadcast treatments will be applied using a handgun nozzle. Does this mean that a calibrated boomless sprayer or cluster nozzle would be an unacceptable means of application? A3 - Most areas have been previously treated and now require spot treatment with a handgun nozzle. Q4 - Are the infested areas accessible by conventional tractor, or will a skidder be required? A4 - Most areas can be accessed by conventional tractor, but several will require a skidder. Q5 - How many acres are there for the Kudzu requirement. A5 - Quotes should be based on the cost of the 30,000 gallons of herbicide to be applied. 30,000 could cover approximately 300,000 acres.
