- Description
- The Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB CA has a requirement for Badging, Entry Control and Guard Services. The work consists of providing all management, supervision, personnel, transportation, and labor necessary to perform at designated locations while maintaining consistency with mandatory federal, state, local, Department of Defense (DoD), and Air Force regulations, as applicable. Contractor must have a Private Patrol Operator License as described in the California Business And Professions Code Section 7582.1. Services include: Acting as a general receptionist for visitors; monitor personnel and vehicles (ingress/egress) and access to controlled areas and buildings. Performance of general escort duties, issue visitor badges and control inventory and account for visitor badges and facility keys. Inspections of hand-carried items leaving or entering a facility; enforce government asset protection and control. Monitoring intrusion detection, access control and facilities/environmental control systems and report alarms as required; have a basic understanding of computer systems; monitor and operate Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems. Conducting roving patrols as required. Accomplishing random safety and security checks of facilities, safes, and equipment. Receiving mail and official deliveries. Performance of Random Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Measures (RAMs) as directed or required. Basic computer operations knowledge for accessing security database visitor information. Perform visual control and area surveillance at post locations to limit access to authorized persons. Services range from the regularly scheduled services to on-call services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this effort is 561612 with a Small Business Administration size standard of $4.0 Million. It is anticipated that a firm fixed-price contract will be awarded. The contract is anticipated to be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) 100% Economically-Disadvantabed Woman Owned Small Business. Contract award is estimated to take place in June 2012, with performance beginning 1 July 2012. The solicitation will be electronically posted on FedBizOpps(http://www.fedbizopps.gov).
