- The proposed contract action is for Hip Implant case, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit this requirement on a sole source basis to Smith & Nephew. under the authority of Far 13.106-1(b)(1). This is a solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-12-T-0748 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339113. Size 500 All interested bidders shall submit quotations electronically by email to Teresita.bayquen@med.navy.mil or by facsimile at 619-532-5596, attention Tess Bayquen. E-mail submissions are limited to 2MB. The submitter should confirm receipt of facsimile and email submissions. These proprietary rights preclude other vendors from guaranteeing the supply functionally in support of the Smith & Nephew Inc. Contractor must be registered to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award.
