- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District, New Orleans has a requirement which consists of furnishing all labor, fuel, transportation, equipment, and supplies necessary for the rental of a lift barge or lift boat crane with at least a 125 ton lifting capacity for the assistance of obstruction removal operations in the Mississippi River as further described below. The supply/service will be in support of navigation to the USACE, New Orleans District. This solicitation is 100% set aside for a Small Business. The Request for Proposal is for a firm-fixed price service contract to be competed under solicitation W912P8-12-T-0052. The NAICS code 237120. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 1935. The RFQ and all information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportunities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizops.gov. It is and will continue to be all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the fedbizops website for any amendments, updates, offerors, library, responses to questions and answers as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all potential offerors to download from the fedbizops website. Any communications must identify the RFQ number, W912P8-12-T-0052 company name, address, phone number including area code, facsimile number and point of contact. No phone call requests will be accepted. NOTE: Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as required by Federal Regulations (See FAR 52.204-7004), therefore you must be CCR registered to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
