Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is VA259-12-Q-0182 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-58. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 321991 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2012-05-04 16:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Salt Lake City, UT 84148 The VHA NCO 19 - 259 - NCO Contracting Office requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001, Contractor must meet or exceed specifications for the 2012 Keystone, Fuzion, Limited Edition Touring Package, 360 (RV, 5th Wheel). Description: The Fighting immObility in Rural Veterans with Exercise and Technology (FOR VETs) project relies upon implementing a scientifically guided and monitored in-home exercise program that will target older Veterans living in rural communities and provide empirical data as to its efficacy. This exercise training program is book ended in three month intervals by state-of-the-art empirical testing of vascular function, skeletal muscle fatigability, mobility, and joint function. To achieve these goals a mobile laboratory (5th wheel RV) and housing unit to hold the necessary equipment, perform the testing, and provide a place for the investigators to sleep is essential. The mobile laboratory will facilitate the physiological testing (e.g. Doppler Ultrasound) of rural Veterans across the various sites necessary to achieve the goals of the FOR VETs program. This mobile laboratory shall be suitable for testing and holding the necessary equipment as well as being a functional place for the investigative team to reside (up to 6 people).
