Description
Clause 52.212-3 Clause 52.212-5 Crane Drawing Picture Clause 52.212-4 We currently have a 3 ton under running, single girder, crane. We would like to replace it with a 10 ton top running single girder crane. The crane is located outdoors, but in a partially enclosed, completely covered, carport type structure. There are seven 6"x 6" I-beams that support seven steel trusses on one side and the trusses are bolted to the building on the other. This truss system supports the current three ton crane. The truss system also supports the roof and must be maintained in its' current position. The seven I-beams essentially create 6 bays of slightly different lengths, (see drawing). The lowest point of the roof trusses are along the I-beam side, which is 21'4", the high side is along the building which is 24'4". (See photos). The existing crane will need to be removed. It entails removal of the two 102' lengths of I-beam, and the crane trolley itself. The Coast Guard will dispose of any scrap materials. Due to the need of maintaining the current carport structure, a freestanding crane, built within the structure, may be required. If the 6"x6"vertical upright I-beams currently in place can support the new crane, it would be preferred. Otherwise new uprights will need to be placed next to and directly across from the seven existing 6"x 6" I-beams. A lifting height 18' would be preferred. I have attached photos and drawings, (with measurements), of our current layout. Point of contact for any technical related questions or concerns: Lee Neeman 415-399-3513
