- Sole Source award for 8 month extension of operations The USAF Electronic Systems Center intends to issue a sole source contract to extend the current platform maintenance of 3 E-11A (9355, 9358, 9001) for an eight (8) month period of performance. Northrop Grumman is currently operating and maintaining three (3) BD-700 aircraft in operations as part of the BACN program under contract FA8726-09-C-0010. This effort will continue operation and maintenance of three (3) E-11A aircraft with BACN payloads as a modification to the BACN JUON contract. This contract will be awarded under "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements". A Justification and Approval for proceeding with this acquisition under Other Than Full and Open Competition is pending coordination and approval will be posted within 14 days of any contract award. The synopsis does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a Request for Proposals (RFP) nor does its issurance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse firms for any costs associated with pending or submitting a response to this notice.
