PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AT FORT RICHARDSON NATIONAL CEMTERY LOCATED WITHIN ANCHORAGE COUNTY IN FORT RICHARDSON, ALASKA. THERE WILL BE NO PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING HELD FOR POTENTIAL OFFERORS. POTENTIAL OFFERORS MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE CEMETERY FOR A WALK THROUGH AT 907-384-7075. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting quotes under Solicitation Number VA786A-12-Q-0024 for the following: The contractor shall provide all professional services, labor, supervision, materials, administration necessary for the construction and performance of all work in accordance with the solicitation plans, specifications, drawings, required permits, terms and conditions. The summary of the work to be completed is as follows. The contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing decks at the administration building at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. The contractor shall install new decks including fascia and support structure as required for proper construction and support of the deck. Decks shall be constructed of weather resistant lumber equal to or exceeding the existing decking material. COST MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is under $25,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 30 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice To Proceed. NAICS CODE: 236210SIZE STANDARD: $33.5 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-PRICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 15 to a responsible small owned business responding to this solicitation. REGISTERATION: All potential small owned businesses whom intend to provide a quote as the prime on this construction project must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Request for Quote (RFQ) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBidOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation will be released for issue on or about May 7, 2012, via FedBizOpps. The cut off for questions is May 14, 2012. Questions must be submitted in writing. They may be sent via email entitled, "Fort Richardson National Cemetery - Questions." SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. SUBMISSION OF QUOTE: Your quote can be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer via the following email address: lenora.stephens@va.gov The email shall be entitled, "Fort Richardson National Cemetery - Solicitation Number VA786A-12-Q-0024." Submissions must be submitted on the Standard Form 1442 (included within the solicitation package) and received with signature no later than the date and time indicated on said form under block 13 A.
