- Description
- This is a synopsis of the proposed contract action: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution - McKean, Bradford, PA 16701 anticipates issuance of a solicitation for the removal and disposition of an existing 500 KCA transformer with 300 gallon mineral oil storage, approximate weight 6,000 lbs. The contractor shall also provide and install a new 500 KVA transformer. The successful contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and expertise for this construction project. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This project is a total 100% small business set aside. The NAIC code for this requirement is 238210 which contains a size standard of $14.0 million. The period of performance is 67 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. The issuance of RFQ will be on or about May 10, 2012. The solicitation will be distributed through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site.
