- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Army Contracting Command-Warren (ACC-WRN) proposes to negotiate and award, on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, a modification to existing contract # W52H09-08-D-0393 with American Science and Engineering, Inc. (AS&E), 829 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA 01821-3907. This action will be to extend the final ordering period and issue a delivery order for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) services of Non-Intrusive Inspection Systems (NIIS). Services are to be performed in accordance with the existing Statement of Work and include; onsite maintenance, technical support services, training services, training materials, spare parts, and management of spare parts inventory for NIIS equipment produced by AS&E, located in theater (Southwest Asia). The types of NIIS produced by AS&E, and currently sustained under the existing contract include Ruggedized Detection and Imaging Modules (RDIM), Smartcheck Imaging Module (SIMS), Z- Backscatter Vans (ZBV), Military Trailers (MT) and Forward Scatter Kits (FXT) located in Southwest Asia (SWA). Services are currently acquired under contract W52H09-08-D-0393. Period of Performance of the new delivery order is from 28 June 2012 through 27 June 2013. Target award date of this acquisition is 15 June 2011. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All submissions are due no later than 10:00 a.m. EST on 11 June 2012.
