- Project Number 636-11-101, Backfill Dental Space (Grand Island). Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to renovate approximately 3,340SF of space on the south half of the 2nd Floor in Building 1 at the Grand Island Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System located at 2201 N Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68803. The renovated space will be used for the relocation of the Prosthetics and Occupational Therapy service lines, as well as expanding the Lab area, renovating Lab restrooms and a creating a Radiology ultrasound room. Demolition includes but not limited to the following: removal of existing mechanical/electrical systems and fixtures and devices, dental lab cabinetry and equipment, doors/frames, flooring, partitions (walls), ceilings, and finishes. New work includes but not limited to the following: Mechanical/electrical systems and fixtures and devices, doors/frames, flooring, partitions (walls), ceilings, casework, patient lifts, and finishes. Work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications and drawings, and all applicable VA and local codes. Solicitation Number VA-263-12-B-0494 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about May 10, 2012. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held sometime during the week of May 21 through May 25, 2012 (See solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 240 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
