Description

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Data Explorers, Inc. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission requires rebate pricing data for 25 securities during an 18-month retrospective time period. Data Explorers, Inc. is the only known capable vendor that had the data for the time period required and was willing to sell the data that is required by the Commission. The period of performance for this purchase order is for a base year,effective April 27, 2012. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The SEC intends to negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications for the provision of this requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. This is a Notice of Intent, not a solicitation. No solicitation will be issued for this sole source requirement and no other information will be provided.
