REAR SPOOL for J85 enginePR Number: FD20301271009NSN: 2840-01-486-1845P/N: 5126T37P03Description: This item holds stages 4-8 compressor blades of thecompressor rotor assembly which is used in conjunction with thecompressor stator assembly to supply compressed air in large masses tothe combustion section.Material: Iconel 718 Nickel AlloyDimensions: 6.0 inches high X 13.5 inches in diameter. Weight: 15 lbsDestination: SW3211, Tinker AFB, OK, 73145-9013.Delivery Schedule: 3 each on or before 1 January 2014Duration of Contract Period: 1 yearElectronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, orquotation which shall be considered by the agency.One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free TradeAgreements. This is a sole source requirement to GE Aviation (99207), due to onlyone responsible source existing to manufacture this item.Qualification Requirements exist. This item has been designated a'Flight Safety Critical Parts (FSCP)' Critical Safety Item. As an FSCP,this item must be purchased from the OEM or their licensed vendor.Pursuant to FAR 9.204, on 5 April 2012 additional sources have beensought to seek qualification via QR synopsis posting for this item. Alltimely offers that have successfully met the MQR-3 will be consideredfor contract award.An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors orpotential Offerors during the proposal development phase of thisacquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the program director or contracting officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Whenrequested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tosource of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in theevaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interestedparties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 734-8253. DO NOT CALLTHIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Based upon market research, the Government is not using policiescontained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in itssolicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interestedparties may identify to the contracting officer their interest andcapability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercialitem within 15 days of this notice.Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Request forWritten Quotation/Proposal will be issued. Only written, emailed orfaxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable.
