- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT. The National Park Service is conducting a market survey for entities eligible to compete under NAICS 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) for an upcoming project at Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. Entities shall be capable of providing all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to upgrade the existing telephone and data/voice network. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. All costs associated with providing information as requested by this sources sought shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Submission is VOLUNTARY. Location:Cuyahoga Valley National ParkBrecksville, OH Project Description: Design, provide all materials and supervision, and install an updated, reliable CAT 6 cable networking infrastructure that integrates the Cuyahoga Valley National Park's Central Maintenance Area (CMA) with data and telephone connectivity. Install and program a BCM 50 digital, IP technology enabled, centralized telephone system with integrated voicemail that will provide reliable communications throughout the Park and to the public network. Remove existing telephone and data wiring and telephone equipment infrastructure. Old telephone equipment will remain property of the Government. Background: Two buildings connected by a combination of Cat 5, damaged 25 pair cable and Cat 3 phone cabling. Buildings include the Maintenance building and the auxiliary (carpenter) building. Current infrastructure includes buried 25 pair cable damaged between buildings and Cat 3 UTP cable to telephones. Data connectivity includes Cat 5 UTP cable to work station interface (WSI). And Cat 3 to telephones. The data connections in the building feed into a T1. The current telephone system is a plain old telephone system (POTS) 11 telephone lines terminate at the DMARC. The number of analog lines will be reduced. A scope of work will be provided with any solicitation that may be issued. The Government is not required to issue a solicitation. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS OF INTERESTED FIRMS: Request interested firms (regardless of size) submit (1) NAME, ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER OF THE FIRM (including DUNS NUMBER); (2) a CAPABILITY STATEMENT including (a) a summary of RECENT (within the last three fiscal years) RELEVANT (similar projects to this requirement) performance history (identify the name of the owner and their point(s) of contact with telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses; and (b) in what capacity (e.g., prime, subcontractor etc.) they performed the work; (3) their SIZE STATUS (Small Business or Other); (4) the PERCENT OF WORK their firm can commit to accomplishing this work with in-house (not subcontracted) labor if awarded the contract.
