Description
SCOPE OF WORK MSD is moving its refrigerators and freezers located in building 301 to building 203. The Rees system needs to be reconfigured to reflect this move. The contractor shall make the necessary modifications and move hardware such as data transceivers. In addition, MSD has acquired new freezers which need to be added into the Rees system and validated. Contractor will also setup a Rees failover node which will take over if the current Rees system node should fail. SPECIFIC TASKS The Contractor shall provide all support for Rees system reconfiguration, equipment, administration and technical execution of this contract. The Contractor is responsible for maintaining accurate records of project activities. Task 1: System Reconfiguration NIST shall be responsible for the physical move of the refrigerators, freezers, and existing monitor hardware. The contractor will be responsible for making the configuration changes to accommodate the location change of existing equipment. The contractor shall test and validate that the refrigerators and freezers are monitored correctly in the new location. Task 2: New Refrigerators and Freezers NIST shall be responsible for the purchase of the new refrigerators and freezers and placing them in the desired location in building 203. The contractor shall be responsible for providing 22 new temperature probes and additional data transceivers, connecting them to the new refrigerators and freezers to MSD's Rees system and validating they are working properly. The hardware needed to connect the freezers are listed below. Two RF-900-BUF is a combination battery backed up 900MHz transceiver with data buffering capabilities that connects back to a central node over the organizations existing TCP/IP Network. This device allows users to monitor up to 96 points at a remote location from the same node. Monitor sensors on the other side of your facility, across campus, or across country. The unit can store readings locally if the network or node goes offline. This unit can store data on 96 points, logging every 5 minutes for 4.4 days. Fewer points and/or lower logging rate will extend the number of days. NOTE: Device is compatible only with Centron SQL Software. Network connection is required. One RF-900-BUF can be connected directly to a node in lieu of an RF-900 Receiver using null modem serial cable # RF-NUL-CBL. RF-RPTR-BATT - Battery Backed up Wireless 418 MHz Repeater. Repeats on 900 Mhz. Use with RF-900. Provides approximately 4 hours of backup. The contractor shall provide as many repeaters as necessary, based on the sensor's location and requirements of the NIST facility. TPT4-RF-AA - Twenty-two Wireless Temperature Probe - Type 4 -90 to +10 Degrees C with AA size Lithium Battery. PLM-115 -Four Power Line Monitor Remote 115V or 220V. RF-0-5-AA -Four Wireless 0-5 volt Input. Tasks 3: Failover Node NIST shall be responsible for providing a PC to act as the failover node with power, phone connection and a network connection. The contractor shall provide the software and hardware needed to setup the failover node. The contractor shall provide training to the failover node and configuration. The failover node will assume the duties if the current node fails or loses connectivity to the server or remote sites. Includes 1 node license capable of monitoring up to 128 inputs, up to 4 Failover Nodes can be operated in one machine. One telephone dialer is included. Use with V1, V2 wireless components, V2 MPX wired remote panels and MPX-NETBUFF wired remote panels. Existing MPX-RMT panels require a V2-MPX or V2-MPX-NET upgrade. Also requires build upgrade to 1016.
