- Notice for a SOLE SOURCE requirement in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(10) and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. HQ Air Mobility Command (AMC) intends to issue a sole source contract to Rapiscan Systems, Inc., 2805 Columbia Street, Torrance CA 90503-3804, for continued lease of four passenger baggage x-ray screening equipment (x-ray machines). Rapiscan Systems, Inc. will provide all equipment, personnel, tools, materials, replacement parts, preventive/as required maintenance, recurring operator and recognition training, and systems software technology updates necessary to maintain the machines and accomplish de-installations. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All submissions MUST be sent to the points of contact listed in this notice and received by May 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM CDT. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals/quotes. The intent of this announcement/special notice is to determine if any source(s) exist and, therefore, Solicitation FA4452-12-Q-A063 will not be made available.
