Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs Network 23 Contracting Office (NCO 23), on behalf of the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417, anticipates soliciting competitive quotations from qualified medical testing laboratories, NAICS Code 621511, Medical Laboratories. Any contract resulting from solicitation of offers is planned as: one-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, pay per test. Quick contractor response to ad hoc testing requests including rapid specimen delivery from the VA Health Care System to the testing facility is considered to be critically important as medical decisions will be pending the results of the testing. Any solicitation issued subsequent to this pre-solicitation notice will include specific requirements. Interested parties shall note that a one year contract with four (4) option years is contemplated. The estimated base year period of performance is 365 days, beginning on or about July 1, 2012. Any solicitation and subsequent acquisition that may follow this pre-solicitation notice will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and other applicable regulations. The NAICS code is 621511, Medical Laboratories. Solicitation documents, including a complete list of required tests and other requirements, are planned to be issued on May 3, 2012. Quotations will be due on or after June 3, 2012 (exact date will be announced in the solicitation and will be no less than 30 days after an actual solicitation is issued). These dates are not firm and may change due to unforeseen events. Offerors are advised to closely watch www.fbo.gov for all communications related to this planned solicitation.
