Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), located in Research Triangle Park, NC has a requirement for commercially available programmable, bed type, vertical axis CNC milling machine. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Refer to RFQ-OH-12-00036 when responding to this request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 333512, the size standard which is 500 employees. EPA requires a programmable, bed type, vertical three axis CNC milling machine that meets the following specifications: three axis CNC control; Conversational Programming; Off-line programming capabilities with DXF file converter; 6 inch minimum Head (Z) axis travel; 40 inch minimum X axis travel; 20 inch minimum Y axis travel; Manual Quill; 5 HP motor minimum; 208/3 phase power; Coolant pump with control; Power draw bar; Splash shield; Chip tray; Work light; UL or Third party listing; Delivery and set-up; On-site training; and Standard industry warranty delivered FOB Destination to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 109 T.W. Alexander Dr. Machine Shop, Mail Stop E177, Research Triangle Park, NC 27711 within 60 calendar days from award. The F.O.B. point shall be Destination. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial (FEB 2012), applies to this to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-2 (JAN 1999), Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable and the specific evaluation criteria are as follows: Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable. Offers shall provide descriptive technical literature in sufficient detail to demonstrate that the equipment offered meet the minimum requirements specified above. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (APR 2012), with its quote or information that you have completed the Online. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (FEB 2012), applies to this acquisition.
