Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Large and Small Businesses interested and capable of performing the work. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Type of small business, if applicable, (e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned small Business, Veteran-owned small business, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business) and (g) a capability statement that addresses the organization's qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration at www.ccr.gov and the Online Certifications and Representations Application at https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx. Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered and verified with the Vet-Biz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System in Las Vegas, Nevada has a requirement for Transitional Housing Services for homeless Veterans suffering from a Dual Diagnosis (e.g. depression and substance abuse). Services are being procured in accordance with Public Law 107-95 and Title 38, Chapter 20 and shall consist of community- based residential care and treatment provided 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Services to be provided include but are not limited to: (a) Case management; (b) Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Services such as individual and group therapy, social skills training, and relapse prevention; (c) Medications management and (d) Room and Board consisting of: (1) One single bed per occupant (2) One dresser with at least two drawers (3) storage space (4) indoor lounge area (e) laundry facilities where Veterans can do their own laundry and (f) at least three nutritious meals per day. It is the VA's intention to solicit proposals on a competitive basis for a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery and Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract will include a base year (one year from date of award), with four (4) one-year renewal options that can be exercised at the option of the Government. This solicitation will be issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15. NAICS is 623220, 623990, or 624229. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about June 1, 2012 with responses due on or about July 1, 2012. Point of contact for questions and responses is Sandra Fusco at Sandra.Fusco@va.gov.
