- Statement of work This is a combined synopsis/solicitation/Notice of Intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are not being requested for the solicitation number NIAID NOI12064 issued as a notice of intent. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-58. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a small business set-aside. Small, small disadvantage, minority, veteran owned, 8a and HUD zone companies, etc are encouraged to submit quotations. All responsible sources may submit offers that will be considered by this agency. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 811219, which has a business size standard of $7.0. The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to award on a sole source basis to GE Healthcare for the renewal of an essential care one year maintenance agreement service(s) on chromatography systems (Item/description/Qty): 1) AKTA Prime Plus Model 110013130 serial number 1263343, (qty-1); 2) AKTA Explorer 10S Model 187114505, serial number 1454763,, (qty-1); 3) AKTAready Model 28906261, serial number 1389830, (qty-1); 4) AKTA Pilot-Model 18117063, serial number 01148962, 5) AKTA Explorer-Model 18111241, serial number 001433, (qty-1); 6) AKTA Explorer 100A-Model 18140300, serial number 001103, (qty-1); 7) AKTA Explorer 100A-Model 18140300, serial number 01093678, (qty-1); 8) AKTA Explorer 100A-Model 18140300, serial number 01096149, (qty-1); 9) AKTA Explorer-Model 28406264, serial number 1370066, (qty-1); and 10) AKTA Explorer-Model 18140300, serial number 01291525, (qty-1). Contractor requirements for essential care - See statement of work. GE Healthcare is the only known vendor or manufacturer that is authorized and able to provide certified expertise and technicians. Parts and accessories must be original so not to affect the manufacturer warranty. The period of performance will be for one year from the date of the award. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1) technical capability to meet required specifications, 2) price, 3) warranty. Place of delivery NIH/NIAID, Rockville, Maryland, 20852. The government will award a fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor. The FOB point shall be Destination. The proposed contract is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate w/only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GE Healthcare is the only known vendor authorized and capable to perform service for provided equipment. Place of delivery NIH/NIAID, Rockville, Maryland, 20852. The Government will award a firm-fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items; FAR 52.212.3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contractor Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items. A completed copy of provisions at FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items must be included. 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration.
