- Description
- The VA Contracting Office VISN 22 intends to negotiate a commercial FAR ( PART 12) Sole source procurement with OEC Medical Systems Inc, 384 Wright Brothers Driver, Salt Lake City UT, 84116. This Procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-2. Unusual and Compelling Urgency, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 205-38. A justification for sole source has been prepared in support of t his acquisition. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. Request for Quotation is RFQ VA-262-12-R-0714.. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112 and the small business size standard is considered, 500 employees. The Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System has a GE/OEC Medical System C-Arm X-Ray unit, which is currently out of service and in need of emergency repair. This is the only Unit in the OR department that allows surgeons to view blood vessels in video mode. This unit is critical in the diagnosis and treatment of Veteran Patients on a daily basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government shall consider all proposals received by 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time April 24th, 2012. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. NO solicitation document exists and no telephone inquires shall be accepted.
