- This Solicitation consists of a Base plus Option A, Option B and Option C. The Base consists of dredging material from Cuts 1 (Station 0+00 to Station 125+00) and 2 (Station 125+00 to Station 150+00) with disposal in the designated Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), located approximately 4.0 to 8.0 miles from the dredging area. Work also includes Turbidity Monitoring, a dedicated Marine Animal Observer and endangered species standby time. Option A consists of dredging material from Cut 1B (Station 0+00 to Station 55+00) with disposal in the designated ODMDS, located approximately 10.0 miles from the dredging area, and dredging work to remove nearshore quality material from Cut 2 between Station 150+00 to Station 181+70.90. The nearshore disposal area is located approximately 7.0 miles from the dredging area. The Contractor will determine if the material being dredge is less than 20 percent fines, and do so based on a visual inspection of the material as it is placed into scows. If determination indicates the material is not nearshore quality, then the material shall be disposed of in the designated ODMDS. Work also includes Turbidity Monitoring, a dedicated Marine Animal Observer and endangered species standby time. Option B consists providing additional costs associated with interim mobilization and demobilization from the project site during winter months (November 1 - April 30). Option C consists providing accommodations and coordinating with the Government's sonar contractor. The work has to be completed no later than August 15, 2013 after the Notice to Proceed is issued. Magnitude of construction is $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00. THIS ACQUISTION IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. COAST GUARD CERTIFIED EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED. The solicitation will be issued on or about 09 May 2012 with proposals due on or about 12 June 2012. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/.
