- Due to the exclusive availability only to this vendor This is a Notice of Intent to Issue an order to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics INC., 500 GBC Dr, Newark, DE 19702. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) Intends to issue a Firm fixed price purchase order for Multispecies Software Kit ADVIA 120 USAMRAA intends to award this contract on a sole source basis with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics INC., in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 U.S.C.2304(C)(1). This announcement constitutes the only notice a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quote. This Special Notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all quotes received by the closing date specified in this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. All questions concerning this notice shall be emailed to Mr. Drew Meilinger at drew.meilinger@Amedd.Army.mil. Interested small business concerns may identify their capacities in writing by responding to this notice by 5:00 Pm EST on May 9, 2012 to the above email address
