- Quotes are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service from eligible small business firms for spraying of approximately 749 designated lodgepole pine trees in two (2) designated recreation sites in order to provide protection from Mountain Pine Beetles. This project is located on the Lost River Ranger District of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. This project includes furnishing all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished) and incidentals necessary to perform all work necessary to accomplish tree spraying services in the areas specified. This requirement is being solicited as a fixed price Request for Quote (RFQ) using Commercial Item acquisition procedures under FAR part 12 in conjunction with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR part 13. Quotes are due at 3:00pm MST, May 25, 2012. Work is estimated to begin on June 11, 2012. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
