- MARKET RESEARCH/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. This advertisement serves to aid in determining market interest and capabilities for this prospective requirement. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for Market Research purposes ONLY. This information will be used to determine the availability of vendors capable of meeting the Government ™s minimum requirements, the availability of small businesses capable of providing this support, and approximate prices to be used for funding purposes. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of contractors capable of transporting 12 aircraft (6: T-34 aircraft and 6: T-44 aircraft) from NAS Jacksonville, FL to Cecil Field, FL beginning August 2012. The aircraft will be partially disassembled for transport to Cecil Field by the contractor. The Government will remove the outer wings for the T-44 and the wings for the T-34. The Contractor would be required to coordinate the move with Jacksonville Police Department, as streets along the route will need to be cleared or shut down. The Contractor will be required to carry sufficient and appropriate insurance to cover the risk of this project. The estimated transport distance for the aircraft is approximately 15 miles. This requirement will be in support of the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Jacksonville, FL. Vendors interested in responding to this sources sought synopsis shall provide a technical capabilities statement that describes the firm ™s expertise in performing the requirement. The technical capabilities statement shall include a cover page containing the company ™s name, address, CAGE code, Dun & Bradstreet number, years in business, affiliate information, parent company, joint venture partners, NAICS, business size/socio-economic status, government business point-of-contact name, phone number, and e-mail address. The respondent shall also provide per-aircraft price range estimates for this work. Additionally, the respondent shall provide a list of all current GSA/VA scheduled contracts (if applicable). The technical capabilities statement and price estimates provided in response to this Sources Sought Notice are NOT to be considered a response to Request for Proposal (RFP) in that no RFP exists at this time. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach or be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for the information requested herein. Evaluation results will not be provided to contractors responding to this synopsis. No phone calls will be accepted. Responses shall be in writing and sent by email to Mr. William Z. Legg, William.legg@navy.mil, The responses shall be submitted no later than 2:00 P.M. EST (local Jacksonville, FL) on May 4, 2012. NOTE: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. NO REIMBURESEMNT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING A RESPONSE TO THIS REQUEST. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.
