- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, intends to solicit firms that have the capability to provide construction services for a project at Green Bay DMDF, Cat Island Chains, Brown County, Green Bay, Wisconsin. The work would consist of, but not be limited to, the construction of approximately 23,849 linear feet of approximately eight feet high wave barrier core stone dike with 12' wide gravel road on top and 1V on 2H armor stone side slopes protection on existing Green Bay lake bed and installing approximately 240 linear feet of 24" and 84" Reinforced concrete pipe culverts, and a gate. The project will be located at Green Bay DMDF, Cat Island Chains, Brown County, Green Bay, Wisconsin. The estimated cost of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has a size standard of $33,500,000 in average annual receipts. The project requires knowledge of "Design Build" construction special needs and in particular construction in stone barrier building. This procurement is being solicited as unrestricted. This is an invitation for bid or sealed bid solicitation. A bid bond in the amount of the offer is required. The contract will have 730 day completion requirement. The estimated award date of the contract is September 2012. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project. Amendments will be available from FedBizOps website by download only.
