- The proposed action is for sound modules required by the Navy School of Music to provide temporary learning stations during renovation of their permanent building. Once the renovation is complete, the sound modules will be transported for use in the building. The Government intends to solicit only one source, Wenger Corporation. Wenger Corporation has been determined to be the only source for this requirement as their sound modules are the only ones that possess room sonic environment simulation of a range in preset and customized practice and performance environments. This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-3. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
