- The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding a sole source procurement to Appleton Marine Inc for the procurement of the following: Control Valve P/N: YMD-6861, Control Valve P/N: YMD-6862, Luffing Cylinder Pins P/D: MMD-2232, Luffing Cylinder Bushing P/N: MMD1362, Hex Head Cap Screw 1.500 DIA-6NCX6.0LG P/N: YMD-8952, Thread Stud 1.500DIA6NCX6.0LG P/N: YMD-8954, Hardened Flat Washer 1.5DIA, Heel Bushing P/N: MMD-1900. The existing configuration requires use of specific repair materials, manufactured by Appleton Marine Inc to ensure correct form, fit & safety of vessel systems. Appleton Marine parts are patented and Appleton Marine Inc. is the sole proprietor. Only approved distributors are authorized to sell patented Appleton Marine Inc products. This procurement will be made on behalf of the CGC Harry Claiborne. Vendor will provide all the parts listed in the Schedule of Items. NAICS Code #336611 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0900am PST on April 20, 2012 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
