- Description
- The Western Montana Acquisition one anticipates awarding a contract for water system replacement on the Plains Ranger District of the Lolo National Forest,Sanders County, Montana. The project consists of providing all materials and labor to replace the drinking water distribution system at the Plains Ranger Station compound including approximately 950' of 3" mainline, 245' of 1 1/2" service line, 420' of 1" service line and all valves,hydrants and other components of the system. Also included in the work is installation of a lawn sprinkler irrigation system including design, labor and materials. Irrigated area includes approximately 2.15 acres coverage in various areas throughout the compound. A site visit of the projct area will be at the Plains Ranger District at 10:30 a.m. on May 17, 2012. The Govenment estimates the value of the work to be between $100,000 and $250,000.

Highway 200 through Plains is named Railroad Ave. To reach the Ranger Station from Plains: From Railraod Ave. turn east on Central Ave. and go east 2 streets to Clayton.
