- This is a synopsis for Renovation of Restrooms in Building 500 at the Greater Los Angeles Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a solicitation for Construction Services types of contract for the GLA Building 500, Restroom renovation. The solicitation will be available on or about May 3, 2012 on FedBizOps website (www.fbo.gov). A job walk/ site visit will be scheduled and included on the solicitation. The general scope of work includes but not limited to provide labor, material, survey and technical expertise to accomplish the renovation. Contractor shall furnish management, supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, and materials, and perform work to include demolition, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, and certain other items as required by project drawings and specifications. Work will be performed in a functioning clinic environment, which will remain operational during the project duration. The estimated magnitude of this contract is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 and the size standard is $3,500,000.00. The solicitation will be set as a Full Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business in accordance with Public Law 109-461, USC Sec 827.
