- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Southern Region; Eastern Logistics Service Area, AAQ-510 has a requirement for the Installation of a Gable Roof at the Remote Communications Air / Ground (RCAG); Tallahassee, Florida. The FAA contemplates the award of a firm-fixed price contract. This Requirement is offered to all qualified responsive concerns and offers will be considered using a tiered order of precedence. Each tier will be evaluated using the procedure outlined below: First Tier - eligible 8(a) business concerns, provided that adequate competition is received and an award can be made at a fair market price. Second Tier - eligible service-disabled veteran owned small business, provided that adequate competition is received and an award can be made at a fair market price. Third Tier - eligible small business concern, provided that adequate competition is received and an award can be made at a fair market price. Last Tier - full and open competition from among all responsible, responsive offers received providing award can be made at a fair market price. Adequate competition is defined as at least two (2) competitive offers received from qualified, responsible business concerns at the tier under evaluation. A determination of insufficient competition or unreasonable price will be made before the next tier is evaluated. This solicitation is issued on Wednesday April 18, 2012 with all offers are due on Wednesday; May 9, 2012; 4:00 p.m. (EST) To be considered for the award of this project, the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: www.ccr.gov).
