- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Prospective offerors are encouraged to view this site frequently for any amendment to the solicitations. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP), solicitation number VA341-12-R-0028. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits, Regional Office, Fort Harrison, Montana, has a requirement for Document Destruction Services at the Regional Office, Fort Harrison, Montana. Contractor is to provide on-site document shredding services on a monthly basis. Documents shall be shredded in strict accordance with all HIPPA, VA Security and Privacy Laws and Policies, NIST policies, and all contract terms and conditions. A Firm-Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The contract period shall be from date of award through September 30, 2102, with four (4) one-year option periods. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 562111. The small business standard is $12.1 million. This requirement is considered as Full and Open with additional consideration granted eligible Small Businesses. Offerors will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on 11 MAY 2012.
