Description
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will be soliciting proposals to establish and operate a Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database, one component of the C.W. Bill Young Cell Transplantation Program (Program). The government is seeking proposals from organizations with the capability to collect and maintain information related to patients who have received stem cell therapeutic products in a standardized electronic format. This includes information that is necessary to conduct an ongoing evaluation of the scientific and clinical status of transplantation involving recipients of a stem cell therapeutic product from a donor. The organization should also have the capability to: 1) prepare and submit an annual report on patient outcomes at each transplant center and, 2) make scientific information available to the public in the form of summaries and data sets. The scope of data collection under this contract will include: 1. allogeneic transplantation for hematopoietic reconstitution using cells from donors not related to the patient; 2. allogeneic transplantation for hematopoietic reconstitution using cells from donors who are related to the patient; and, 3. emerging clinical applications of cells derived from bone marrow, peripheral blood, and umbilical cord blood. The period of performance will be a one-year base, and four one-year options. These services are defined under NAICS code 541990. It is anticipated that a Cost Reimbursement type contract will result from this requirement. This acquisition is being conducted under Full and Open competition. The solicitation will be posted on or about May 1, 2012. It will be available at this website as an attachment to this announcement (www.fbo.gov under HHS, Health Resources and Services Administration). It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the site for amendments to the solicitation. The agency will consider proposals from all responsible sources. Should you have any questions contact Greg Ribovich, Contract Specialist, Phone 301-443-4175, Fax 301-443-5462, Email gribovich@hrsa.gov. Please indicate the solicitation number and title in all communications.
