- Project Number 636-11-105A, Correct SPD HVAC Deficiencies (Grand Island). Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to correct HVAC deficiencies in the SPD department at the Grand Island Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System located at 2201 N Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68803. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary for the replacement of existing AHU ™s with a new AHU, cooling tower and all associated duct work in the SPD department. Work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications and drawings, and all applicable VA and local codes. Solicitation Number VA-263-12-B-0469 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about April 30, 2012. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held sometime during the week of May 7 through May 11, 2012 (See solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 210 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
