- This is a Sources Sought Announcement only. The VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) has a need to establish new Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts for Architectural/Engineering services and expert consultants. The IDIQ contracts will be for the following services within VISN 21: Master planning, environmental assessments, biological assessments, life safety reviews, state historic preservation and section 106 compliance, seismic studies, pre-solicitation consultation and assistance, and hazardous materials assessments. The VA Sierra Pacific Network is one of 21 Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). It serves 1.2 million veterans residing in northern and central California, northern Nevada, Hawaii, the Philippines, and the Pacific Islands including Guam and American Samoa. Seven VA medical centers/health systems manage a total of thirty-nine care sites including six major medical centers with nine inpatient facilities, seven nursing homes and 30 Community Based Outpatient Clinics. The Network has 5,545,917 GSF of owned space in 217 buildings, and 406,719 SF of leased space in 54 buildings. At this point in the procurement process the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine if the procurement will be set-aside for one of the following Socio-economic categories; Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, Small Disadvantage Businesses (8(a)); Woman-Owned Small Business or Small Business under NACIS code 541310. Interested firms fitting one or more of these Socio-economic categories should send their information by E-mail to andrea.baker4@va.gov or by fax to 916-923-4554 no later than 4:30 PM Pacific Time April 27, 2012. Information shall include type of socio-economic category (e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Business etc.) firm's full address and DUNS number and, a brief (no more than 1 page) listing of projects/experience with items listed in paragraph 1. All information received will be used in determining if a set-aside procedure will be utilized. NOTE: Interested firms shall have a working office located within 100 miles of a VISN 21 medical facility, with the exception of VA facilities in Hawaii.
